How to care for outdoor carpets?

Outdoor rugs are a great way to create a cozy atmosphere on the terrace, balcony or in the garden. Thanks to modern materials, they are resistant to weather conditions, but require proper care to maintain their appearance and functionality for years to come.

The basis of caring for outdoor carpets is to vacuum or whisk them regularly to remove dust, leaves and other dirt. In the case of stains, a quick reaction works best - just wipe the soiled area with a damp cloth and mild detergent. It is not recommended to use aggressive cleaning agents that can damage the fiber structure.

Outdoor carpets are often resistant to moisture, but prolonged exposure to rain can lead to mold formation. Therefore, it is worth taking care of their proper drying - if the carpet gets wet, lay it out in the sun or in a well-ventilated place to dry completely.

Periodic washing with mild soap and water will help refresh the appearance of the carpet and remove deeper dirt. For rinsing, it is best to use a garden hose with a gentle stream of water, avoiding high pressure that could weaken the fibers.

To prolong the life of the carpet, it is a good idea to store it in a dry place outside the autumn-winter season. Roll up and store in a ventilated protective bag to avoid excessive wear and moisture buildup.
